Last night

We had an excellent dinner last night. I had salmon fishcakes with a lime and coriander salsa followed by duck with a cherry glaze and a chocolate dessert, coffee and chocolates.

We then talked to the owner for about an hour till 11.30pm, talking primarily about web sites of all things. The site for his restaurant is only half a dozen pages, is implemented using the awful dreamweaver, has a PR of 2, a google cache that is empty, but ranks at 3 on google and 1 on yahoo out of 4 and 5 million indexed pages respectively. Good news for him, but it makes a mockery out of everything the search engines say you should and should not do.

We’ll be watching some Batman film on DVD tonight, but very uncharacteristically, I will probably hit the vodka or Gin to get the events of earlier this week out of my system. Then back to moaning next week.
