Watched the re run of 70’s British cult TV series Jason King last night (ITV4 7.00pm). Whoever wrote the dialogue for that series deserves some kind of award, the casual put downs, pompous attitude and manner of JK, plus the worst fight scenes you are ever likely to see, put it firmly into the category of being so bad that it is actually rather good. I am currently trying to grow a moustache like JK’s, but suspect the gay community might spot it and get the wrong idea, so I shave it off every morning. Being serious for a moment, I do wish the tailored fitted suits, flared trousers and fashion of wearing shirts cuffs outside jacket sleeves would return… and cravats – now I’m really getting excited.
