Masako Natsume and Bernard Manning
In last night’s episode of Monkey, the stunningly beautiful Masako Natsume (aka Tripitaka) was magically transformed into a woman by the great ape.
It is (as I recall) the one and only time that Masako actually portrays her own gender in the series and, as ever, does it with perfection. She is attired in a long flowing gown with hair to match and her cult status in Japan is easily explained by her appearance.
Elsewhere, my domain problem persists with the dubious x9internet.co.uk, who refuse to even respond to my email. It is possible that some quirk of the internet prevented the registration etc going through, but nothing short of astounding that the final monetary transaction was not affected – I am convinced that they are unscrupulous!
We intend taking one of my nieces 10 pin bowling on her birthday this Sunday, but the charges are, in my opinion, ludicrously expensive. £4 per player per game with shoe hire etc on top – I remember when you could buy 6 games for 5 people, rent two and a half pairs of shoes each and still get change from half a banana. Actually I hate the Monte Python sketch that goes along those lines – it is only surpassed in stupidity by the “dead parrot” one.
Almost forgot, Bernard Manning, the greatest comedian to ever live, had an hour long profile on his life in comedy repeated late on Wednesday night. Bernard was and remains the most politically incorrect comedian of all time and his racial and culturally directed jokes leave me in stitches. His defence to his critics is simple, “a joke is a joke”, it is not meant as anything else and “if you don’t like it, you can F… yourself. – To all the politically correct morons out there, may I send you the same sentiments.
