A bevy of babes
After a couple of enquiries, in fact three, I eventually booked the 10 pin bowling I mentioned a day or so ago. A family ticket with 2 games for 4 players, plus free drinks (a special offer) all for £20 at AMF in Leeds. Exceptionally good value I thought. AMF is where we used to go a few years ago and it was pretty good then.
An friend I have in South Africa emails me (as I do with him) about the menial and routine aspects of life. The thing is, within the body of his writings are descriptions of sights he sees on his way to work, views from his house and all manner of visual gems which he naturally takes for granted. Yesterday he mentioned the mountain, 1km from his house, and the view out to the Atlantic, it sounds amazing. The down side is that S.Africa has crime, economic problems and constant power outages, but the scenery sound spectacular.
That also poses a question I have never understood the answer to. How has Nelson Mandela gone through the hardships and persecution he has experienced at the hands of white people, yet developed no malice or desire for revenge.
I once saw him asked that question and his reply was that he did not have enough time in life for those kind of negative emotions. I wish I could get some advice on avoiding negativity myself, I seem to spend half my time wanting to get retribution on someone or something – but mainly poilticians and they don’t count anyway. Here is a bevy of BABES….
