Since the middle of last year there became an awareness of the importance of blogs for direct, but mainly indirect, promotion via high value links to another site from the blog.
Looking at this blog site it is evident that the majority of “blogs” are not blogs at all, but simply attempts to spam the search engines by making daily multiple entries of one or two sentences promoting a product or service.
If you are one of the idiots who do this, your efforts are in vain. You may appear high on blogeasy’s blog list, but that has no bearing on google, msn or yahoo and you will fail to get your pages indexed or ranked. Do you really think that it is that simple and that search engines are so fickle that you can trick them into valuing a blog that is not really a blog in the first place.
If you see blogs like this one and think that you too will get a good PR in a few months prepare yourself for a disappointment – it just does not work that way. You need real content, structured writing, common themes and not the most obvious spam approach of all – i.e. making 3 or more entries per day.
Ultimately you are just cheating (or trying and failing) and devaluing a method of internet use that has brought more people into actively using the web than any other.
Here is my babe for today – is she hot? or actually is she someone who throws her mobile phone at her house keeper.

Any attempt to access a former “zeal” page now gets redirected to a lookSmart page thanking the directory’s former members and asking them to consider supporting www.Furl.net – I doubt that there will be many takers, some of the editors (called zealots) committed dozens of unpaid hour per week to building up the webs 2nd biggest information source and must feel cheated at the closure and the way the news was (or really was not) broken.
I was not by the way a zealot myself, but recognised this directory as a staple of the internet as a free information source.
Images of Javine’s amazing legs are still just about clinging to my memory, but this will be my last mention of them – or maybe not.
I am intending to start hunting out more new babes for this blog as I have been repeating the odd pics (of the 40 or so who have appeared so far) and new meat is now required (what a coarse term)!
Monkey on TV tonight which also means more Tripitaka (Masako Natsume).

The end of Zeal
After being arguably the second most important directory after DMOZ (the ODP), Zeal, which was purchased some years ago by the LookSmart group, has been terminated by the same.
This is in all truth a tragedy. This massive directory had the most stringent of submission guidelines and only allowed high information content, minimum commercial content web sites into its various and extensive categories. Its presence on the internet was massive and its importance acknowledged by anyone involved in search engine optimisation. Zeal also had a huge number of committed volunteers adding and amending sites and many committed vast amounts of their time to this process free of charge.
For those of you who regret zeal’s passing and the “ill fated” taking over of them by LookSmart, rest assured, LookSmart are already dead in the water. This shambles of a directory/search engine has no value to web developers or promoters and has been in a site of terminal illness for some time. I look forward to its demise and fail to understand how they could not see the commercial possibilities of using the Zeal directory more extensively.
Just a quickie today
The cover-up at a British army barracks where numerous soldiers have purportedly committed suicide continues.
An enquiry (by the people who would have to “carry the can” if wrong doings were discovered) not surprisingly found all the deaths to be self imposed! Quite incredible when you consider that one of the “suicides” shot himself in the head TWICE! (once above each eyebrow). The investigation chose not to give an explanation as to how he could have killed himself and then done the same thing over again. We really do live in a sick and perverse society – but then look at our “so called” role models Blair and company.
I am still mourning the loss (to our TV screens) of the “Javine machine” and constantly irritating my wife with references to her (one of my few pleasures).
At the weekend we watched the Brothers Grim on DVD and I noticed that the stunning British actress (from Huddersfield) and Steve Coogan’s superb Parole Officer, was one of the leads I tried to get a decent pic of her to put up here, but all the photos I found showed her well and truly covered up, anyway here is today’s babe.

Last night saw the last episode in the repeat run of USA serial “Dark Skies” with the wonderfully beautiful “Borg” Jery Lyn Ryan. It is a great shame that this clever sci fi show died a death in the USA preventing a follow up series from being made.
Staying with Borg, this time Bjorn the tennis player, I see he has decided not to sell his 5 Wimbledon (and 6 Roland Garros) trophies. How someone worth 40 million dollars in 1981 (equiv’ by today’s rates of around half a billion dollars) could blow the lot is beyond me – his coolness on court must have masked the fact that he was a bloody idiot off it – at least financially. Was he a gambler?
Still suffering “cold turkey” from the lack of the “Javine machine” in a leotard or swim suit this week, but I guess I will get over it.
I have also started yet another blog (also on blogeasy), this time a bout Spain. I have done a fair bit of “blog building” research over the last 6 months and concluded (based on my own trials) that blogeasy can get you to a google PR of 4 inside 5 months with a minimum of effort, which is quicker and higher than any other blogger including blogspot (although I manage a PR of 3 with them in a similar time span).
I will be periodically mentioning Spain and Galicia (for my own SEO reasons) at the end of most submissions from now on, but here is the babe for today.

The Javine machine is now off the TV and back to doing whatever it is she normally does – probably trying to find another pathetic celebrity reality show. My suggestion is “naked celebrities” – I did not quite see enough of her in the Games, although I gather that she already competed in that concept in the Song for Europe heat!
Holidays now beckon, at least in a few months time, and it looks like Galicia may be the place again – the Spanish and not the Polish one.
I also want to mention Masako Natsume again, mainly because when this page featured her it appeared very high up on both the google and msn’s serps.
Another of my all time favourite TV shows started on the fabulous ITV4 on Sunday – “Planet of the Apes”. I missed it because we had a family “late” lunch out (Mother’s day), but I look forward to it next week. Perhaps it could be possible to remake the series with me as “Urko”, the bad gorilla, and Javine as my human slave – it sounds a bit bestial, but that could be the audience puller.
I wonder if Javine has been to Galicia, if not I would happily give her a personal and closely supervised tour.

In order for this blog to benefit one of my sites I need to periodically mention Galicia and places like Lugo, Santiago, Ourense and Pontevedra – so now that is done.
Javine
The fabulous Javine romped home in the sports challenge I mentioned previously. I conclude that she has the second best female body I have ever seen. The best goes to an amazing Spanish lady on a beach in Galicia, but that is another story. That said Javine is certainly a bit of a sulk, hates to lose and never really got on with anyone else – but so what! Another competitor, the former East Enders actress Gail -----, is someone who I have never liked, but she came across as a genuinely nice, thoughtful and selfless person – I totally revise my opinion of her.
White supremacist
I watched the white supremacist Eugine something or other on a documentary on Thursday (his big white self) – I guess he would not have liked Javine and would have had me summarily executed for my terrible thoughts about someone of a (partially) different race. A friend of mine who is South African told me that this idiot is seen as the lunatic that he is by 90% of South African whites, but that regrettably the rest of the world believe that he represents a consensus of their views. The high point of the program was seeing him fall off his horse (which my friend tells me is his biggest claim to fame in S.Africa). Humour aside the man is responsible for some appalling atrocities and has no remorse, regret, or even belief that he has done anything wrong.
A Babe pic as ever below.

As a rule I loathe any kind of artificial celebrity based TV – the kind of thing that takes a group of no-marks with bit parts in soaps 5 years ago, but I have made an exception this week.
There is some kind of sports challenge program featuring 5 male and 5 female celebs! and in amongst the ladies is the fabulous Javine (Failed pop star, Eurovision Song Contest loser, but also hot bodied babe).
I discovered yesterday that she smokes – a big black mark against her – but what a pair of legs and can she run, swim, hurdle and do gymnastics. I would certainly never catch her, but I have some ideas of what I would like to do if I could.
My irritation at this blogs google PR of 4 continues. It has no decent content, few readers and my inane ramblings annoy me, so they must be irritating to anyone else unfortunate enough to come across it. That said there are some fine pics of de ladies.
Below Javine

If you want a holiday in Galicia (Spain), getting there from the UK has now got 2 different direct flight options.
The original route was Heathrow to Santiago de Compostela via Iberia airlines, but that has now switched to the city of la Coruna (about an hour away). The result of last year’s arrival of Ryan air – flying direct from Stansted to Santiago – the second option.
Both are cheap and the actual cost of taxes is often greater than the “real” ticket cost.
With Ryan Air, beware of extreme baggage charges which can run into tens of pounds. They apply some nifty tricks to catch you out.
If you have never thought of holidaying in Galicia, take at look at the galiciaguide.com link in the list to the right for more info.

Missed Keira Knightly in the Hole last night, but having seen it before that was no great loss.
Watched the Wallace and Gromit movie on DVD at the weekend. It was excellent, but I do not know which I prefer between that and the equally brilliant Corpse Bride. Helena BC took “voice over” title roles in both and can therefore take credit for the US Oscar of the former and the British equivalent of the later. Strange that W & G gets more acknowledgement in the USA than at home in the UK!
My suggestion – get Nick Parks and co. to work with Helena BC’s other half to create the ultimate animated movie.
Here’s a babe pic.
